Travelodge by Wyndham Quebec City Hotel & Convention Centre

This is my go-to hotel when I go to Quebec City, it's the cheapest pet-friendly hotel in the area (when you account for the pet fee) and it's got all the comforts I need. It's clean, beds are comfy, parking is big and free, the king room has plenty of floor space for the pup and you get great views from the top floors. Pet fee is 25$+tax per night for one dog. There was some renovation happening on one of the elevators when I was there, but it really didn't impact my stay in any way. I was also grateful I was put on a floor away from other groups that were staying at the hotel (I don't know if it was luck or thoughtfulness), I had the quietest most tranquil night of sleep I've ever had in a hotel - and so did my dog.

I’ve chosen to stay at this hotel again because it’s pet friendly, cheap (considering the area) and the king room has a lot of floor space. Everything works, the place is clean, location is just off the highway (easy to reach during snowstorms, no traffic noise during the night), there’s plenty of outdoor space to walk the dog and it offers a free covered parking lot (not heated). I think I was lucky because I wasn’t sharing any wall with other guests so my stay was very quiet and peaceful. There’s a microwave for common use on almost every floor. The staff was super nice! I’ll stay here again.

The room was very clean, and the bed was large. The staff was friendly and helpful, doing their best to answer all our questions in English or French. It takes about 50 minutes by bus to reach the old town, or about 20 minutes to get to the shopping center, which has many restaurants and shopping options.

Short Stay at Travelodge by Wyndham Quebec City Hotel & Convention Centre We stayed at Travelodge by Wyndham Quebec City for just one night before heading into the city, and it was a decent stopover. The hotel had nice parking and felt pretty safe. We stayed on the upper level, and while the rooms have been renovated, the elevators and overall property felt old. The corridor carpets were also a bit worn out and had a slight smell.

The value was the best I've seen in Quebec City in 20 years - no joke. The hotel is undergoing major renovations and it shows. Quality of rooms is way up. Still lots of work to do (especially hallways) but at the rates we got we cannot complain. The bed was excellent: very comfortable.
